HELMAND, Apr. 22 – Three military tanks of a U.S six-tank convoy making its way to Sangin district, which has been caught up between Gerishk and Sangin districts, have been struck by separate roadside mine explosions along the way that has been blocked by Mujahideen for the past few days, two tanks of the six-tank convoy had been destroyed on Wednesday, April 21, in Islam Bazar area of the district, while the last tank of the convoy was airlifted by the helicopter Thursday morning, said Mujahideen officials. According to the report, the dead and wounded in the bomb attacks that targeted and destroyed five U.S tanks were airlifted along with the sixth tank of the convoy.
